Fresh Makeup for Graduation featuring Pink Sugar + Tutorial

I recently got my hands on Making Faces, a book by the famous Kevyn Aucoin from a book sale (steal at P270.00!) and I got inspired again to create fresh, natural makeup; nothing heavy, no crazy, popping colors; just a flawless base, touch of color, and a bold lip. And I'm reminded once again how challengine it is to create natural, fresh makeup!

So I challenged myself today and created a makeup look for graduating ladies out there; it's fresh, simple, and practically fits any skin tone! It's also a bit of a one brand makeup tutorial and we're featuring Pink Sugar!

PRODUCTS USED:

Catrice Prime and Fine Smoothing Refiner Primer
Pink Sugar Our Lil' Secret Foundation (Medium)
Pink Sugar Our Lil' Secret Concealer (Medium)
Pink Sugar Eye Candy Eyeshadow Quad (Cafê Latte)
Pink Sugar Dual Finish Face Powder (Medium Beige)
Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Blush (Morrocco)
Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Blush (Paris Lights)
Pink Sugar Honey I'm Good Brow Kit (Sassy Brown)
Pink Sugar Honey I'm Good Brow Gel (Blonde)
Pink Sugar Eye Candy Pencil Eyeliner (Black)
Pink Sugar Creamy Matte Lipstick (Hotline Bling)
Taiwan Falsies

Let's begin!

STEP 1: Apply primer all over. This is graduation and you'll be very busy and will have less to no time to retouch, thus a primer is an important step.

STEP 2: Use concealer as eyeshadow base. This will keep makeup looking vibrant and make it last the whole day.

STEP 3: Grab a big tapered brush and use a taupe brown shade to softly color the above crease. Don't create an obvious line; I prefer the powder to look diffused to create an illusion of naturally deep eyes

STEP 4: Grab a flat brush and lightly apply a cream white shade with a hint of shimmer on the lower lid.

STEP 5: Grab a peach-pink blush and a small tapered brush; apply a light shade on the inner corner of the eye and blend outwards; this will give give the above crease another color dimension.

STEP 6: Apply foundation as usual. I highly suggest a long- lasting foundation so it will stick until graduation day's over.

STEP 7: Apply concealer and blend properly to avoid caking.

STEP 8: Contour the cheek planes, jaw line, and temples.

STEP 9: Apply the same color of blush you used as eyeshadow for continuity of look.

STEP 10: Set the rest of your face with powder.

STEP 11: Map and define your brows.

STEP 12: This is an optional step. You may or may not apply a brow gel; as for me, I prefer using one for extra hold and to give my brows an ombre look.

STEP 13: Apply eyeliner and gently smudge with a sponge tip applicator or Q tip to break the harsh line.

Apply falsies, mascara, and lipstick as usual. Don't forget to set with setting spray for makeup that lasts!

Congratulations, graduate!

I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial. Do let me know what you think about it! :)
